Our Corset Factory

Ever wondered where your favourite corset is born? Step inside the beating heart of Corset Story — our dedicated factory in Delhi, India — where craftsmanship, tradition, and precision come together to create the garments you love.

Producing corsets is no ordinary feat. With up to 30 separate components per design, and dozens of size and fit options, this is a garment that demands more than just style — it requires skill, patience, and obsession with detail.

That’s why, for over 15 years, we’ve built and refined our own in-house production team, purpose-built for corsetry. Our factory isn’t set up like the big high-street brand suppliers (which focus on speed and mass production). Instead, we’re configured like a luxury atelier — optimised for craftsmanship, not corners.

And it shows: over 90% of our tailors have been with us since we began. That’s 15+ years of experience each, creating corsets day in, day out.

🧵 How a Corset is Made

From paper to pattern, every corset begins with a CAD-drafted block – meticulously designed and graded for our wide range of sizes. The block is then plotted, hand-checked for accuracy, and cut into the fabric by expert hands.

The panels are fused and stitched with the boning channels before lining is added. Hems are reinforced, eyelets are set, and then — the magic flourish — we add trims, embellishments, or beading (often by hand), before each corset is dry-cleaned and carefully packed for you.

While a bespoke corset might take 20 hours for a single seamstress to make, our specialist set-up means we can produce them more efficiently — and often to an even higher standard.

❤️ Why It Matters

Our factory is the soul of Corset Story. It’s how we maintain consistent quality, offer so many designs and sizes, and keep prices accessible without compromising on craftsmanship.

Every stitch tells a story — of skill, tradition, and care. And we’re proud that behind every corset is a happy, experienced team who are just as passionate about the final piece as you are.

Thank you for supporting slow fashion, skilled hands, and the art of corsetry.
